The Federal Ministry of Education has initiated the process for advertising the position of Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), as the current chairman's term is set to end on July 29. Final approval to advertise the vacancy will be granted by the Prime Minister.
Dr Mukhtar Ahmed was appointed the HEC Chairman for one year under the new HEC (Amendment) Bill, 2023.
