Man allegedly commits suicide over domestic dispute
A man, a father of five children committed suicide in Nishatabad after his estranged wife refused to reconcile.
The police took the body into custody and transferred it to the hospital after completing necessary procedures. The deceased's heirs have accused his in-laws of poisoning him.
Police said 30-year-old Iqbal, son of Nazir Ahmed and a resident of Sialkot, was married to a woman from 6-JB Gulshan Town and they had five children together.
His wife had left and returned to her parents' home after a dispute. Iqbal went to her family home to bring her back, but she refused to return with him. Heartbroken by her refusal, he ingested tablets commonly used for preserving wheat.
After receiving medical assistance, he was shifted to the hospital where he died after struggling for life.
After being informed, the police took possession of the body of the deceased and started the investigation. The deceased's family alleges that he was poisoned by his in-laws.
Nishatabad police are busy with the investigation.
Meanwhile, two armed men shot and killed a young man over a motorcycle collision dispute. The police took possession of the body, handed it over to the deceased's heirs after medico-legal procedures and registered a case against the named accused under the provisions of murder and started searching for them.
In a case filed by Shehzad Masih, a resident of Christian Colony, Street 2, at Ghulam Muhammad Abad police station, he stated that his 19-year-old nephew Gulfam was with him on motorcycle traveling towards their home in Esa Nagar, Ghulam Muhammad Abad, via Seam Nehar (Canal) Road.
During the journey, the motorcycle of the accused, Rana Ijaz alias Jaji, son of Faqeer Hussain, resident of Karam Deen Wali Basti, and Shehbaz, son of Idrees collided with his nephew's motorcycle, on which the accused chased them and shot the victim.
