Kai Cenat has launched Streamer University, a new initiative designed to bring aspiring content creators together on a live-in campus. Within minutes of the announcement, over one million applications were submitted, reflecting significant interest in the creator-led project.
Announced on May 6 via Instagram, Streamer University was introduced with a Hogwarts-themed video in which Cenat welcomed audiences to what he called “a school where chaos is encouraged and content is king.” The project, aimed at streamers and digital creators, will host a weekend-long residency at a real university campus, where participants will collaborate and create content in person.
Cenat initially hinted at the concept during a Twitch stream earlier this year. His vision includes real classrooms, interactive sessions, and appearances by high-profile creators. “Say there is a science class—Mark Rober is the professor for that day,” Cenat said. “If it’s a finance class, MrBeast is involved.”
The official website, streameruniversity.com, faced technical issues following the announcement due to the volume of traffic. Despite this, Cenat confirmed via X that the event will be entirely funded for participants, covering travel, accommodation, and access to all sessions. He encouraged creators of all types to apply, adding that opportunities also exist for those interested in instructing or producing content behind the scenes.
Although full details on the programme structure and location are yet to be disclosed, Streamer University is positioned as a collaborative space where emerging talent can gain experience, build networks, and learn directly from established figures in the online entertainment industry.
