LAHORE:

A group of Pakistani Hindu families who had been stranded in India due to escalating tensions between the two countries have finally returned home.

On Monday, 25 Pakistani Hindu citizens, including women and children, crossed into Pakistan via the Wagah border.

According to sources, the families belong to the Rahim Yar Khan district and had travelled to New Delhi on February 8 to participate in religious rituals.

However, due to the strained political climate and restrictions on cross-border movement, their return was repeatedly delayed.
