Woman among three killed in Mastung attack

In a shoot and run incident, three persons, including a woman, were killed on Teri Road near Killi Hazar Khan in Balochistan's Mastung district on Tuesday.
The victims were on their way from Kanak to Mastung when unidentified gunmen opened fire on their vehicle.
Police said the attackers sprayed the moving car with bullets and fled the scene before the arrival of security personnel. Rescue teams later shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The victims were identified as Muhammad Azam, Agha Muhammad, and Bibi Parveen.
Law enforcement agencies, including the Levies Force, cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. While authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the assault, residents have voiced growing concern over the deteriorating security situation and demanded immediate steps to ensure the safety of travellers.
Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Zainuddin Tareen was shot dead in Batezai area of district Pishin.
According to police sources, the officer had recently returned to his hometown for a short leave.
The sound of gunfire alarmed locals, who reported the incident to nearby security forces. Police and Levies officials responded swiftly. They cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the culprits.
