A citizen filed a police report about her husband, Ghulam Hussain, being kidnapped by unknown individuals within the jurisdiction of the Sabzi Mandi police station.
Given the grave nature of the incident, under the supervision of Islamabad SSP Operations and SSP Investigation, police teams were formed to conduct the investigation.
During the operation the police teams successfully arrested eight accused involved in Ghulam Hussain's abduction. The hostage was rescued alive and unharmed without having to pay the demanded ransom.
The accused had demanded Rs9 million for the release of the hostage. The arrested accused have been identified as Bashir, Noman, Adil Abbasi, Hussain, Zahid Iqbal, Tahir Mehmood, Umair Khalid and Khizer Khalid.
