Beyoncé has replaced the Las Vegas Sphere in her Cowboy Carter tour visuals after receiving a cease-and-desist letter from Sphere Entertainment Group.

The imagery, which originally appeared in an interlude during her concert, showed a digitally enhanced Beyoncé interacting with a miniature version of the high-tech venue.

According to Billboard, Sphere Entertainment Group requested its removal, stating the footage was used without permission and created misleading assumptions about a potential future residency.

The group also claimed they were not contacted for permission and objected to the prominence of their property in the video.

In response, Beyoncé has swiftly updated the visuals to now feature Allegiant Stadium, where she is scheduled to perform on 25 and 26 July. The adjustment removes any reference to the Sphere, which has previously hosted residencies for U2 and The Eagles and will soon expand to Abu Dhabi.

Reports suggest that Sphere CEO James Dolan had previously tried to secure a Beyoncé residency at the venue, though her summer Las Vegas dates will take place at Allegiant Stadium instead.

The Cowboy Carter tour, which began on 28 April at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, has received widespread praise. Beyoncé performs a 36-track set highlighting her March 2024 album, alongside several theatrical visuals and special guest appearances. The tour continues through the US, UK, and Europe, including six dates at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in June.
