Romeo Beckham stepped up in a big way during David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations, delivering an emotional speech in honor of his father, as brother Brooklyn Beckham and sister-in-law Nicola Peltz were noticeably absent.

The glamorous celebration took place at the Michelin-starred Core restaurant in London’s Notting Hill, drawing celebrity guests like Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria, and Gordon Ramsay. David's wife, Victoria Beckham, along with their children Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13, were all in attendance to celebrate the football icon’s milestone.

Romeo’s touching speech reportedly began with gratitude toward the guests for attending and quickly turned into a tribute to his father’s impact, stating, “Without many of you in here tonight, he wouldn't be half of the man he is today.”

The heartfelt moment was seen as a stand-in for Brooklyn, 26, who, along with Nicola, 30, did not show up for the family celebration. Their absence fueled ongoing speculation about a growing rift within the Beckham family.

Despite the tension, Victoria Beckham took to Instagram to share family photos and thanked her children who attended. Brooklyn, though not publicly acknowledged, had recently been praised by David in a birthday post that called his children his “biggest accomplishment.”

While David lacked one son at his side, he was surrounded by longtime friends like Gary Neville and other family members. As Romeo’s tribute showed, the Beckham legacy continues to be celebrated—even amid silence from Brooklyn.
