Four men shot and killed a watchman in a market in Laquatabad over a grudge over his second marriage.

The police took possession of the body and handed it over to the heirs after post-mortem.

A case was registered against the suspects nominated by the complainant and raids were carried out to arrest them.

Mohammad Wazeer Abdul Mateen, a resident of Dhadiwala, stated in the complaint lodged with the police that his uncle Sher Ahmad, a resident of Mansoorabad currently residing with him in Kokianwala Main Bazaar had been murdered

The deceased worked as a watchman in Liaquatabad.

He stated that he and his uncle were collecting the charges for the watchman's duty from shops in the market when the assailants came to Liaquatabad on motorcycles.

The suspects said to Sher Muhammad that they had forbidden him from getting married again, but he had not stopped. The assailants then opened fire on the victim who died on the spot.

Upon receiving information about the murder, Jhang Bazaar police reached the spot, took possession of the for legal action and registered a case.
