Cops' children to get education discounts

50 per cent of the fees will be waived for the children of martyrs studying at MIMS,

RAWALPINDI:

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Rawalpindi Region Police and a private medical college to provide high-quality education opportunities in various medical fields to the children of police officers and employees.

Rawalpindi RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa said, "This initiative will prove to be an important milestone for the welfare of the police force and the educational development of their families."

In this regard, RPO Alpa signed a memorandum of understanding with Munawar Institute of Medical Sciences Chief Executive Officer Dr Obaid, for the children of police personnel who wish to study in various medical fields.

Under this agreement, 50 per cent of the fees will be waived for the children of martyrs studying at Munawar Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS), 25 per cent fee will be waived for the children of veterans while children of serving and retired officers and paramilitary personnel will get 20 per cent discount.

Under this MoU, children of Rawalpindi Region Police officers will be given priority in admission, educational facilities, scholarships and educational guidance in MIMS.
