The capital's high court may not take up former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi's main appeals against their convictions in the £190m case this year due to a backlog of pending appeals.
However, a division bench, comprising Islamabad High Court (IHC) Acting Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif, will hear the civil miscellaneous applications of the couple seeking suspension of sentences in the graft case next week.
According to a cause list issued by the IHC registrar office on Friday, the bench is scheduled to take up the applications on May 8.
