Hilaria Baldwin reveals in her upcoming memoir that she nearly left husband Alec Baldwin during a turbulent period in their marriage. In Manual Not Included, the 41-year-old mother of seven opens up about the strain their relationship faced around the birth of their second child, Rafael, in 2015 according The Sun U.S.

Tensions ran high during that time, as Alec traveled frequently for work while Hilaria stayed home alone in New York with their infant daughter Carmen and their dogs. She said they “fought a lot,” and recalled feeling deeply disrespected when Alec took calls and answered emails while she was in labor. “It really pissed me off, and I didn’t hesitate to tell him so,” she wrote.

That year, she described, was “probably the rockiest” in their relationship, as neither side was willing to compromise. At one point, Hilaria removed her wedding rings as a sign she was “potentially ready to walk.” But instead of divorcing, they took a step back, worked through their issues, and later renewed their vows on their fifth anniversary in 2017. In 2019, Alec gifted her a 10-carat emerald-cut diamond ring, reportedly worth $1.2 million.

The couple has since welcomed five more children and have now been married for nearly 13 years. Hilaria also stood by Alec throughout his legal battle over the Rust set shooting. When his involuntary manslaughter charge was dismissed in July 2024, she embraced him in the courtroom with tears.
