Karachi Kings secured a commanding 87-run victory over Multan Sultans in a one-sided HBL PSL X clash at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, after setting a formidable 205-run target and then bowling out their opponents for just 117 in 16.1 overs.

After electing to bat first, Karachi Kings posted 204/4, powered by a composed 65* from James Vince and explosive cameos by skipper David Warner (30 off 13) and Khushdil Shah (33* off 13). Tim Seifert also contributed a quickfire 22.

In reply, Multan Sultans crumbled under pressure, losing early wickets with skipper Mohammad Rizwan falling for a duck. Only Yasir Khan (26), Kamran Ghulam (29), and Chris Jordan (14*) offered brief resistance. Mohammad Nabi starred with the ball for Karachi, taking 3 for 14, while Khushdil Shah and Mir Hamza picked up two wickets apiece.

Multan’s batting collapse left them well short of the target, giving Karachi a crucial net run rate boost and reaffirming their playoff ambitions.
