ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed that a miscellaneous appeal filed by Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, seeking suspension of her sentence in the 190 million pounds reference, be fixed for hearing.

The IHC Divisional Bench comprising Caretaker Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif heard the miscellaneous appeals on Tuesday.

During the hearing, Salman Akram Raja, counsel for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, informed the court that appeals for suspension of sentence had already been filed, but the Registrar's Office had raised unusual objections. He also noted that there is an established mechanism for scheduling main appeals for hearings.

Raja requested that both Imran Khan's and Bushra Bibi's appeals be heard on the same day.
