QUETTA:

In a rare show of unity, the Balochistan Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution voicing deep concern over escalating tensions between Pakistan and India.

Lawmakers from both the treasury and opposition benches joined forces to table the resolution, which strongly condemned what they termed a baseless and provocative act by India following the recent incident in Pahalgam.

The resolution, formally presented by Member Provincial Assembly Zareen Khan Magsi, denounced India's actions and accusations against Pakistan, which he described as lacking credible evidence.

Magsi urged both the federal government and the international community to take serious note of what he characterized as deliberate efforts to destabilize regional peace.

Throughout the session, members representing diverse political affiliations delivered impassioned speeches, marking a moment of uncommon solidarity in the provincial legislature.

Their remarks underscored a shared commitment to defending Pakistan's sovereignty and dignity in the face of external threats.

Concluding the debate, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti affirmed that while Pakistan remains committed to fostering peaceful relations with all its neighbors—including India—this desire for peace should not be misconstrued as a sign of weakness.
