Preity Zinta, co-owner of the Punjab Kings cricket team and film actor, has confirmed that her conversation with Royal Challengers Bangalore player Virat Kohli during an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match was about their children.

She wrote, “We were showing each other pictures of our children & talking about them! Time does fly… When I first met Virat 18 years ago, he was a spirited teenager buzzing with talent & fire — today he still has that fire & is an icon & a very sweet & doting father.”

Preity Zinta and her husband Gene Goodenough are parents to twins, Jai and Zia, born through surrogacy. Kohli and his wife, actor Anushka Sharma, have two children. Their daughter, Vamika, was born in 2021. Their son, Akaay, was born in February 2024.
