A taxi driver was shot dead by unidentified persons in the Saddar area on Sunday.
According to police, the assailants hired a taxi and during the travel shot dead the driver identified as Sajid Mehmood near the Pakpattan Islam Link Canal.
The suspects took away the vehicle, mobile phone and cash of the victim after throwing the body at a deserted place.
The victim was a resident of village 435EB. The police registered a case and started an investigation.
