Attack in Khyber Agency kills 4 security officials

KHYBER: Four security personnel were killed and another 15 injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack in Khyber Agency.

The IED targeted a security convoy in Fort Saloop area of the agency.

On Friday, three security personnel were killed when militants attacked a checkpost in Matni, on the outskirts of Peshawar.

The area had earlier been cleared by security forces during the military operation -- but militants have recently been trying to regain strength. During the last seven months, security forces have killed several militants and destroyed their hideouts in the area.
