JoJo Siwa and Kath Ebbs have officially ended their relationship, with Ebbs confirming the split at the 'Celebrity Big Brother UK' afterparty.
On 26 April 2025, Ebbs addressed the situation via Instagram, explaining that they felt "numbed out" and "disoriented." Ebbs, who uses they/them and she/her pronouns, shared that they had spent weeks observing developments without clarity from Siwa.
Ebbs described experiences they likened to "love bombing," recounting proposals of marriage before the reality show and intense private affection, only to face public humiliation. They claimed to have flown to support Siwa at the live final, but were told at the party that Siwa had developed "confused feelings" inside the house and no longer saw a future together.
Central to the strain appears to be Siwa’s dynamic with fellow contestant Chris Hughes. Their playful interactions were widely broadcast and seem to have contributed to Ebbs seeking answers. At the afterparty, Ebbs said they were informed that Siwa realised they were not the person she wanted to continue a relationship with.
During the show's run, Siwa’s sexuality was discussed after controversial comments by housemate Mickey Rourke, who suggested Siwa might change her orientation. Siwa responded, "I can guarantee I'll still be gay," leading to Rourke's removal from the programme.
In private conversations with Hughes, Siwa expressed feeling most connected with non-binary people and disclosed that she no longer identifies as a lesbian, instead embracing the term "queer."
