The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of the city police on Friday foiled a bid to smuggle liquor, arrested two suspects and seized over three hundred bottles of liquor near Tarnol, a police spokesperson said.
Acting on a tip-off, Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Chaudhry Liaqat Ali assigned a special team of the police to intecept the liquor that was being smuggled from Taxila to Islamabad.
The CIA police team intercepted a Suzuki Mehran near Tarnol, seized 310 bottles of imported liquor and arrested the two occupants of the car.
