
Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) held a pre-budget meeting at its Bahadurabad headquarters, chaired by senior leaders Dr Farooq Sattar, Nasreen Jalil, and Syed Aminul Haque.
The meeting was attended by MQM-P MNAs and MPAs, as well as retired bureaucrat Ashraf Hayat and former parliamentary leader Sardar Ahmed, who participated as special guests. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Farooq Sattar said that MQM is working in coordination with the federal government to improve the country's economic and fiscal policies. He stated that MQM will submit recommendations for the upcoming federal budget aimed at providing tax relief to the common man, particularly salaried individuals, and shielding small businesses from excessive taxation.
He added that the party would not tolerate any encroachment on Sindh's rightful share of water, and MQM stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Sindh for the protection of the Indus River's water.
