Lily Collins has addressed speculation of tension within the Emily in Paris cast by publicly supporting her co-star Camille Razat following Razat’s departure from the Netflix series.
Feud rumours had emerged after reports suggested Collins previously declined to join a group interview with her castmates ahead of the Season 3 and 4 premiere, raising questions about her relationship with the ensemble.
Camille Razat, who portrayed Camille in the series, confirmed she would not return for the upcoming fifth season. In a statement to The Independent, she said her character’s journey had naturally come to an end and that it was the right time to explore new projects. Razat also posted a farewell message on Instagram, sharing behind-the-scenes images and expressing gratitude to the production team and fans.
Collins, who stars as Emily Cooper, quickly commented under Razat’s post, writing: “Love you sister. It’s been a wild ride and an absolute pleasure. You’re a rockstar. So proud of you.”
On her Instagram Story too, Lily Collins re-posted Camille Razat’s announcement and wrote, “Thank you for the incredible memories @camillerazat. You’ve brought a spark and a light to this show that will be so missed but ALWAYS celebrated. You’re a force and I’m so proud of you and excited for all you have to come...”
Razat’s departure marks a significant shift for Emily in Paris, as her character played a key role across the first four seasons. Season four concluded with Camille learning of a false pregnancy and leaving her fiancé Gabriel, setting the stage for new storylines. The fifth season will reportedly follow Emily’s move to Rome and later return to Paris.
Emily in Paris first debuted in 2020 and has been a major success for Netflix, blending romantic drama with cultural exploration. Season five is expected to premiere in autumn.
