Air-conditioner, water cooler windows, water coming out from the split units that gathers in buckets; old tyres in the backyards; old furniture kept outside homes, leftover water in the washrooms, kitchen and in the porch after washing cars; water in the flowerpots are all one of the major and active breeding points for the dengue mosquito at homes. “Majority of people are not aware of it.

In Lahore majority of the dengue patients are coming from posh areas that spend their entire day sitting in air-conditioned rooms,” Dr Khalid Saeed.
