Timothée Chalamet made an unforgettable return to his old stomping grounds this week, surprising students at New York City’s famed Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School — and sending the entire school into a frenzy.

On Wednesday, April 23, the elite arts school shared a collage of photos on Instagram, capturing the Oscar-nominated actor back in the very halls where he once trained.

“When you have a guest speaker for your Career Management class……. and Timothee Chalamet walks in the room…. you know it’s going to be a great day!” the school wrote in the caption.

Naturally, the moment caused a wave of excitement. Students were left wide-eyed and scrambling for selfies as word of Chalamet’s presence spread like wildfire.

The star, now 29, was met with swarming fans throughout the building, with crowds gathering in hallways just for a glimpse of him.

The visit was part of a special session in which Chalamet spoke directly to current students, offering advice and inspiration for their careers in acting. His former teachers Harry Shifman, Sandy Faison and Kim Bruno were also present.

“Thank you @tchalamet for visiting LaG today and providing important advice for our aspiring actors,” the school continued. “Thank you to Harry Shifman, Sandy Faison and Kim Bruno, Timothee’s former teachers and principal for joining us!”

Photos showed the actor warmly engaging with both students and faculty, smiling for photos, chatting one-on-one, and giving heartfelt guidance to young performers hoping to follow in his footsteps.

This isn’t the first time Chalamet has turned heads at a high school recently.

While preparing to play Bob Dylan in the biopic A Complete Unknown a role that earned him an Oscar nomination, he also visited Dylan’s old school, Hibbing High School in Minnesota.

The school’s drama department posted about the encounter on Facebook, saying, “HHS Drama accidentally blew up the internet: We spent about 45 minutes with Timothée Chalamet yesterday at the historic Hibbing Auditorium. He was a total gem.”

They added, “In town researching all things Bob Dylan for an upcoming biopic, he asked his tour guide if he could meet with the drama students who were working on their competition one act.”

“He sat down with them one on one, and talked acting and theater,” the post continued. “He was such a kind and easy going person, and our students were so grateful to have such a special experience.”

With two high schools now boasting viral visits from the Call Me By Your Name star, it’s clear that wherever Timothée Chalamet goes, excitement is sure to follow — and so are the fans.
