ISLAMABAD:

The government has assured fertiliser manufacturers of a steady gas supply at affordable rates to support farmers. SAPM on Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan, stated that low-cost gas has been allocated specifically for fertiliser production to benefit farmers.

Chairing a high-level meeting on Tuesday, Khan reviewed the performance of the National Fertiliser Corporation and examined pricing variations across fertiliser companies. Khan stressed that ensuring relief to farmers is a key government priority.

He directed the preparation of a comprehensive report covering production, pricing, and retail rates of urea. Additionally, new directives were issued to NFC, and a detailed briefing for the PM was ordered.
