Rapper Lil Uzi Vert was rushed to a New York City hospital on Monday after falling ill at a hotel in Lower Manhattan, according to sources close to the situation.

The "Eternal Atake" artist, whose real name is Symere Woods, was transported to the emergency room by ambulance after paramedics responded to an EMS call for a "sick person" around 2:30 PM.

Witnesses at the scene reported seeing the rapper being wheeled out of the hotel on a gurney while security used black umbrellas to shield him from view. A video obtained shortly after paramedics arrived shows Lil Uzi Vert being loaded into the ambulance with his longtime girlfriend, JT of City Girls, by his side.

Sources confirm that the rapper was conscious when he was taken from the hotel and was admitted to the ER where he remained overnight for observation. As of Tuesday morning, Lil Uzi Vert is still hospitalized, though details about his current condition or the specific cause of his illness have not been disclosed.

Representatives for Lil Uzi Vert have not yet commented on his health status or the incident.
