Disney+ has dropped an official clip titled “Fight in the Fields” from Andor Season 2, giving Star Wars fans a powerful preview ahead of the three-episode premiere on April 22, 2025.

The highly anticipated second season stars Diego Luna reprising his role as Cassian Andor, alongside Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, and Alan Tudyk.

The cast also includes Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, Elizabeth Dulau, Ben Mendelsohn, and Forest Whitaker, further deepening the connections to the larger Star Wars universe.

Set five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Andor Season 2 follows Cassian’s transformation from a cynical outsider into a central figure in the Rebel Alliance. As the series draws closer to the outbreak of galactic war, the stakes rise dramatically, with themes of sacrifice, betrayal, and political intrigue front and center.

Created by Tony Gilroy, who also returns as executive producer, the second season is structured across 12 episodes, each contributing to Cassian’s evolving destiny. Gilroy wrote the first three episodes, followed by Beau Willimon (Eps. 4–6), Dan Gilroy (Eps. 7–9), and Tom Bissell (Eps. 10–12). Direction duties are split among Ariel Kleiman, Janus Metz, and Alonso Ruizpalacios.

Andor continues to explore the gritty underbelly of rebellion within the Star Wars saga, offering fans a darker, character-driven storyline. With the new season’s explosive kickoff and the release of the “Fight in the Fields” clip, excitement is ramping up for what promises to be one of the most compelling Star Wars entries yet.
