Three more die in rampant road accidents

A water tanker crushed a man in Block 6, Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

Three people died and three were injured in traffic accidents in different areas of the city.

In the first incident, a young biker was killed when an unknown vehicle hit him in Zaman Town, Korangi on Sunday night. The accident also left another person injured. The victims were shifted to Jinnah Hospital, with the deceased identified as 17-year-old Fahad and the injured as 20-year-old Rauf.

Separately, on the same night, another young biker was injured when an unknown vehicle hit him near Data Hotel, Shah Faisal Colony. He was shifted to Jinnah Hospital, identified as 18-year-old Athar Ali, who succumbed to his injuries.

Further, a water tanker crushed a man in Block 6, Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The deceased was shifted to Jinnah Hospital and was identified as 17-year-old Karimullah. When contacted regarding the incident, SHO Gulshan-e-Iqbal did not answer the phone, while the Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station duty officer, who came to Jinnah Hospital for legal action, expressed ignorance about the incident.

Meanwhile, a speeding car hit a young schoolboy and a man near the Nursery Bridge on Sharae Faisal, injuring both. The victims, identified as 6-year-old Atta Ullah and 55-year-old Rehan, were rushed to JPMC for medical aid. Police are further investigating the incident.
