A woman and her three children were kid-napped and locked up for 16 hours for not settling a case with an accused, sentenced to life imprisonment.

The kidnappers also opened fire at a citizen's shop, which spread panic in the area.

Gulberg Police filed two cases on charges of kid-napping and firing and started the search for main accused Shani Dhillon.

Police said the earlier case was lodged by Afifa Shahzadi, a resident of Awami Colony. Reportedly, the accused Qasim Randhawa was sentenced to life imprisonment by the court in the case. The accused Shani Dhillon, Waleed, Sajid and six others went to the victim's house in vehicles to settle the matter.
