'Criminal' netted in injured condition

Police arrested an alleged criminal in injured condition following a crossfire in near Chatti Graveyard in the Piwadhai area.

A police patrolling team was conducting routine rounds in the area when two suspects, upon spotting the police, opened fire. In the ensuing exchange, one of the suspects was injured and apprehended, while the other fled the scene. A weapon was recovered from the arrested individual.

The injured suspect has been identified as Umar Khan, who reportedly has a criminal record with multiple drug-related cases registered against him.

Upon receiving the report, senior police officers arrived at the scene. Search operations was launched to arrest the fleeing suspect.
