Addison Rae has released a new single titled “Headphones On,” the fourth track off her upcoming debut album, through Columbia Records. The song was co-written and produced by Luka Kloser and Elvira Anderfjärd, who have also worked on her previous singles. Accompanying the release is a music video directed by Mitch Ryan, shot on location in Reykjavik, Iceland.
The single arrives just days after Rae appeared on stage with Arca at Coachella on April 13, where they performed “Arcamarine,” a rework of Rae’s own song “Aquamarine.” During the set, Rae lifted her dress to reveal the date “June 6,” which is widely believed to be the release date for her debut album.
“Headphones On” follows Rae’s recent signing with Sony Music Publishing and her 2024 record deal with Columbia. Her debut single under the label, “Diet Pepsi,” charted on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 54 after debuting at No. 86. She later released “Aquamarine” and “High Fashion,” both produced by Kloser and Anderfjärd.
Before her full-length debut, Rae dropped a five-track EP titled AR, which featured a collaboration with Charli XCX. She also appeared on a remix of Charli’s track “Von Dutch,” linked to the Grammy-winning Brat album.
