Timothée Chalamet’s close relationship with his sister Pauline is reportedly under pressure due to his romance with Kylie Jenner. According to The US Sun's sources close to the siblings, Pauline disapproves of Jenner, creating distance between the once-tight-knit pair.

The actor and Jenner, who have been dating for two years, were recently seen at Coachella and are rumoured to be heading toward an engagement. Reports suggest Chalamet has chosen a $300,000 ring and is exploring wedding venues in Europe.

Despite this, family concerns persist, with insiders indicating that Pauline believes Jenner does not share her brother’s values and that their relationship may be driven more by public image than connection.

Pauline, an actress known for her role in The Sex Lives of College Girls, has been open about her views on wealth and fame. Her past social media posts criticising billionaires have led to speculation they were aimed at Jenner.

“She thinks Kylie is with him because it looks good,” one insider said. “Pauline is very simple; she likes simple things, and Kylie is the total opposite.” Another added, “She doesn’t recognise the little brother she loves so much, and it’s making her sad.”

Though Chalamet once described Pauline as his “best friend,” their communication has reportedly become infrequent. The tension has sparked speculation that Pauline may not attend a future wedding if one is planned.

Despite these reports, Pauline and Kylie appeared cordial when seen sharing a warm hug at the Coperni afterparty in Paris last October. The two also appeared to be on good terms at the Oscars ceremony in March.
