Soha Ali Khan defends Ranbir-Alia’s stance on paparazzi and child privacy

Actor Soha Ali Khan has weighed in on Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s decision to protect the privacy of their daughter, Raha, following recent events involving the media and family safety.

In a recent interview with media Soha Ali khan highlight that she and her husband Kunal Kemmu often discusses their 7-year-old daughter’s presence in the public eye but has maintained a respectful relationship with the paparazzi.
She recalled an incident when she and Kunal requested photographers not to click pictures of their daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu during a swim class, and the request was respected.
Soha added that unlike the West, a sense of boundary still exists between celebrities and the Indian media.
“We’ve chosen to be public figures; our children haven’t. Therefore, I feel that they shouldn’t be affected by it,” Soha said. She also acknowledged that it’s a part and parcel of life. We can’t fight against it."It’s more practical to accept it and to have that conversation with your child that there’s a certain interest in you and these strange people are taking your pictures because of a certain reason,"
The Rang De Basanti also addressed the wider implications of social media and its effects on parenting, noting that the online world bring new challenges.
She warned of “predators” who may exploit impressionable children and urged parents to remain vigilant.
“Kids today are seeking validation from outside—through followers, likes—and that makes it even harder,” she said. “We must stay involved and alert to any signs of discomfort, whether at school or elsewhere, before things escalate.”
