WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that allows users to upload video status updates up to 90 seconds in length, according to WABetaInfo.
This update is currently being made available to select beta testers and builds upon previous changes that extended the status video limit from 30 seconds to 60 seconds last year.
The new 90-second duration eliminates the need for users to manually split longer videos into multiple parts, streamlining the content-sharing process and allowing for uninterrupted clips.

Beta users have reported that the extended limit improves their overall experience with WhatsApp’s status feature, offering more creative freedom and clarity in storytelling.
Meta is implementing the feature gradually, so not all beta testers will see the update simultaneously. However, the expanded video limit is expected to be well-received by users who regularly use WhatsApp Status to share moments with their contacts.
With this enhancement, WhatsApp continues to position its platform as a more expressive and user-friendly tool in the competitive messaging app landscape.
