Sidharth Malhotra sets 2025 slate with big-budget comedy film

Plans are progressing smoothly, showing strong creative collaboration behind the scenes

Sidharth Malhotra is set to headline a high-budget comedy film produced by Mahaveer Jain, marking another ambitious entry into mainstream entertainment for 2025.

The project is expected to go on floors in September.

Meanwhile Sidharth Malhotra is also set to star in "Vvan" with Ekta Kapoor and TVF, scheduled to begin filming this summer. Additionally, he has signed on for "Race 4" alongside Saif Ali Khan and is in advanced talks with director Saran Sharma for a feature film which is produce by Karan Johar.

According to sources close to the development, the film will be directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and is being developed as a potential high-concept franchise. Though currently untitled, the makers are positioning it as a large-scale comedy entertainer with wide audience appeal.

Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, known for the "Fukrey" franchise and now a creative partner at MJF, will also produce the film. Lamba has been actively involved in shaping the script and creative direction.

“With a yet untitled comic entertainer and a creature comedy, Mahaveer Jain is all set to entertain the audience in 2025. “Both films have unique concepts and are being crafted for large-scale release.” the sources said.

Meanwhile, Jain continues to grow his production slate, having partnered with Johar on "Nagzilla", a creature comedy starring Kartik Aaryan. That film, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, is also set to go into production in September.
