Costao teaser out: Nawazuddin Siddiqui battles smugglers in 1990s Goa
Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui returns to the screen in Costao, a gripping crime drama inspired by real events.
The film's teaser, now released, offers a tense and emotional glimpse into the story of a lone officer's stand against Goa's most dangerous gold smuggling syndicates of the 1990s.
Directed by Sejal Shah, Costao follows the life of Costa Fernandes, a principled and brave customs officer who risked everything to combat organised crime.
Siddiqui portrays the titular character in a white uniform, facing a powerful underworld with resolve and integrity.
The teaser hints at high-stakes action and deep character conflict, with visuals of Goa cloaked in tension and corruption. Actress Priya Bapat features in a key role alongside Siddiqui.
Costao is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Bhavesh Mandalia, Sejal Shah, Shyam Sunder, and Faizuddin Siddiqui, under the banners of Bhanushali Studios Limited and Bombay Fables Motion Pictures.
A release date has not yet been confirmed, but the film has already stirred excitement among audiences. Siddiqui is also set to appear in Raat Akeli Hai 2, the sequel to the 2020 crime thriller.
