Wendy’s Twitter throws shade at Katy Perry after Blue Origin space flight

Fast food giant Wendy’s is known for its sassy social media presence, but fans were shocked when its official Twitter account took aim at pop star Katy Perry following her return from a Blue Origin space flight.
Katy Perry recently joined an all-female crew aboard a Blue Origin flight, spending roughly 11 minutes in suborbital space. While many fans celebrated the pop icon’s brief journey, Wendy’s wasn’t feeling so inspired.

It all began when Pop Crave tweeted, “Katy Perry has returned from space.” Wendy’s responded with the unexpected jab, “Can we send her back.” The tweet quickly went viral, igniting mixed reactions online.

Adding more fuel to the fire, Wendy’s reposted a photo of Katy kissing the ground post-flight, captioned with a tongue-in-cheek reference to her hit song: “I kissed the ground and I liked it.”

When another user mentioned that Katy was only in space for 10 minutes, Wendy’s clapped back with, “Don’t short change her it was 11 minutes.”
Katy’s 4-year-old daughter also made a rare appearance to witness the launch, adding a personal touch to the star’s space milestone.
The Wendy’s account, already known for its bold humor, might have taken it too far this time, sparking debate over whether the fast-food chain crossed the line or was simply being on-brand. Either way, the spicy tweets have everyone talking.
