Motorcyclist shot dead on way home in village

A motorcyclist was shot dead on the Qadeemi Tarkhani Road while returning home in a village at night.

The police registered a case against the wife of the deceased, a nominated and two unidentified suspects on the complaint of the victim's brother.

According to the complainant, Ali Akbar, a resident of village 153EB near Pakpattan, was returning home at night on his motorcycle on the Qadeemi Tarkhani Road when Owais and his accomplices opened fire on him, due to which he suffered severe injuries.

The attackers later threw the victim into a canal

and fled.

Local residents pulled the victim out of the canal but he had succumbed to his injuries, on which they informed the police. The complainant alleged that the nominated suspect was known to the wife of the deceased and had committed the murder on her instigation.

Saddar police transferred the body to a hospital for autopsy and registered a case on the complaint of the deceased's brother, Akhtar Ali, against Owais, Mumtaz Bibi and two unidentified suspects.

DPO Javed Chadhar formed a team for arresting the suspects.
