Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) teams on Saturday launched a major crackdown against encroachments in the Galiyat region, resulting in the widening of roads and restoration of smooth traffic flow.
The operation, launched on the special directives of Adviser to the Chief Minister on Tourism, Zahid Chanzeb, and GDA Director-General, Shah Rukh Ali, was personally overseen by GDA's Director Technical, Arsalan Shaukat, who ensured the removal of all illegal obstructions and encroachments along public pathways and roadways.
GDA teams actively moved to clear illegal structures from roads, sidewalks, and public walkways at various tourist spots across the Galiyat. Heavy machinery was employed to carry out the operation, resulting in widened roads and the restoration of smooth traffic flow.
