Khairpur police have solved the blind murder case of journalist Allah Dino, also known as ED Shar, within 24 hours. Five primary suspects, identified as Niaz Badami, Waqas Channa, Fahim Channa, Ahad Channa, and Naeem Channa, have been arrested, and the weapon used in murder was recovered on Friday.
According to police sources, the suspects confessed to the crime during initial interrogation. Fahim is alleged to have orchestrated the murder, while Badami reportedly supplied the sharp-edged knife used in the attack. The suspects claimed that the motive behind the killing was the journalist's alleged attempt to initiate an illicit relationship with Fahim's sister. Acting on the directives of DIG Sukkur, Captain (R) Faisal Abdullah Chachar, SSP Khairpur Dr Samiullah Soomro formed a special investigation team. The team utilised modern technology and conducted multiple raids at different locations to track down and arrest the suspects.
DIG Sukkur praised SSP Khairpur and the team for their outstanding performance. He announced that team members will receive certificates of appreciation and cash rewards in recognition of their commitment and efficiency in solving the case. Police officials confirmed that further investigation is underway, and they are determined to ensure that the culprits receive the strictest punishment under the law.
