QUETTA:

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) has stepped forward to mediate the ongoing political crisis in Balochistan, as its central leader Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari met with Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti in Quetta on Friday.

The meeting took place against the backdrop of the Balochistan National Party's (BNP) ongoing protest and growing concerns over the province's law and order situation.

The JUI-F delegation included provincial chief Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay, Leader of the Opposition in the Balochistan Assembly Younas Aziz Zehri, and other senior leaders. They expressed deep concern over the political standoff and offered to act as mediators to help resolve tensions through constructive dialogue.

The chief minister welcomed the initiative and briefed the delegation on the provincial government's stance regarding BNP's demands and the broader security landscape.

He acknowledged the party's historical role in promoting stability.
