
A man injured in the firing of robbers near Janjal Goth died during treatment, bringing the number of people killed in firing by robbers in the current year to 27.
The deceased was identified as 32-year-old Qaiser. He had brought his sister, a polio worker, to a building where a vaccination point had been set up, when two armed robbers arrived and attempted to rob them, opening fire when Qaiser resisted, hitting him in the chest.
He was shifted to JPMC, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Police confirmed that the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Gulshan-e-Maymar police station. However, the Site Superhighway Police carried out the legal procedures upon the instructions of senior officers.
