
The Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Thursday released 86,300 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 110,800 cusecs, as the total usable water storage in Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma rose to 504,000 acres feet.
According to the data released by Irsa, the water level in Indus at Tarbela dam was 1,411.27 feet, which was 9.27 feet higher than dead level of 1402.00 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 31,500 cusecs and 25,000 cusecs respectively.
The level in Jhelum river at Mangla dam was 1,097.50 feet, which was 47.50 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The inflow and outflow of water was recorded at 35,000 cusecs and 17,000 cusecs, respectively. (WITH INPUT FROM APP)
