
Police have solved a case of the murder of a woman during theft incident in the People's Colony area, apprehending the suspect.
According to the police, the suspect had entered the home of Adnanullah Khan in the Khalsa College area from the rooftop on March 27 with the intention of theft.
When Adnan's wife, 32-year-old Mahwish Kanwal, resisted the suspect, he struck her on the head with a blunt object, causing severe injuries. She later succumbed to her injuries in a hospital.
Following the registration of the case, Faisalabad City Police officer Sahibzada Bilal Umar had formed teams led by People's Colony SHO Rana Maghfoor Ahmed to apprehend the murderer.
Utilising technical resources, the police apprehended the suspect for interrogation and seized the murder weapon.
Meanwhile, a restaurant worker died of head injuries after a colleague pushed him during an altercation.
Police officials said the victim Abdur Rehman Murtaza, a resident of Nankana Sahib, worked at the restaurant at Hassan Chowk. While closing the restaurant at night, he had an argument with the suspect, Qamar, who pushed him.
The victim fell onto stairs and suffered head injuries that proved fatal despite being admitted to a hospital.
The police took possession of the body and launched a hunt for the suspected murderer who had escaped after the incident.
