Megyn Kelly is taking aim at Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, publicly criticizing her for what many are calling performative and misleading photo ops with ICE and Border Patrol agents.

Noem, dubbed “ICE Barbie” online, has faced bipartisan backlash for frequently posing in tactical gear and carrying firearms during official visits, including a recent video in Phoenix where she was seen pointing an AR-15 dangerously close to an agent’s head.

On a recent episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, the conservative commentator called out Noem's behavior: “Just stop trying to glamorize the mission and put yourself in the middle of it as you cosplay ICE agent, which you’re not.”

The video sparked widespread criticism, not just from left-wing voices but also from conservatives and Second Amendment supporters. Many called the display unsafe and unprofessional, with some accusing Noem of undermining serious national security work with theatrical posturing.

Noem, who rose to national attention as a MAGA loyalist and published a controversial memoir in 2024 that included a story about shooting her family’s dog, has been no stranger to controversy. Though some still praise her performance as DHS Secretary, critics—including Kelly—say her stunts overshadow her actual achievements.

“First of all, nobody ever wants the extra lady who doesn’t actually belong,” Kelly said bluntly. “They just don’t.”

Despite her missteps, Noem continues to play a prominent role in the Trump-aligned political movement—but not without raising eyebrows on both sides.
