KL Rahul struck a sublime unbeaten innings of 93 to guide Delhi Capitals to a six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru, maintaining their perfect record in the 2025 Indian Premier League with four wins from four matches.
Chasing 164 for victory, Delhi slumped to 58-4 before Rahul, playing the anchor role to perfection, steered the innings back on track with a composed 53-ball knock that included seven fours and six sixes.
He reached his half-century in 37 deliveries and remained unbeaten as Delhi sealed the win with 13 balls to spare.
Tristan Stubbs supported with a brisk 38 off 23 balls, as the pair combined for a crucial partnership after early wickets rocked the top order. Faf du Plessis (2), Jake Fraser-McGurk (7), Abishek Porel (7), and Axar Patel (15) all fell cheaply.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar led RCB’s bowling effort with two wickets, but Josh Hazlewood endured a rough outing, conceding 40 runs in three wicketless overs.Earlier, RCB managed 163/7 after being sent in to bat, with opener Phil Salt’s run-out following a mix-up with Virat Kohli triggering a mini-collapse. Salt made 37, while Kohli (22), Rajat Patidar (25), and Krunal Pandya (18) failed to convert starts.
Tim David provided late fireworks, smashing an unbeaten 37 off 20 balls with four sixes and two fours. Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets each for Delhi.
Delhi, the only unbeaten team in IPL 2025, now sit comfortably at the top of the points table.
