WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart didn’t hold back in a new interview with TMZ Sports, once again taking aim at longtime rival Hulk Hogan. Decades after their on-screen and backstage conflicts, Hart said he still doesn’t believe Hogan is a trustworthy source when it comes to wrestling history.

Hart's comments came ahead of the April 11 premiere of Peacock’s Becoming a Spectacle, which features exclusive clips and firsthand accounts from WWE legends. In the documentary, Hart joins stars like The Undertaker to revisit key moments in wrestling, including the lead-up to WrestleMania IX in 1993.

One standout topic is Hogan arriving at the event with a noticeable black eye — a detail that sparked rumors of a possible altercation with the late Randy “Macho Man” Savage. Though Hart admits he doesn’t remember exactly how Hogan got the injury, he’s confident Hogan’s version of events can’t be trusted.

“Hulk Hogan's always been such a liar,” Hart told TMZ Sports. “Whatever he tells you is probably not true. Macho Man, I'd go by his account of things. Macho Man was a much more reliable guy that spoke the truth.”

Hart noted that showing up with black eyes wasn’t unusual during that era, and some wrestlers were known to stretch the truth when explaining how they got them.

The Hart-Hogan feud remains one of wrestling’s longest-running rivalries, and Becoming a Spectacle promises to offer a closer look through candid interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
