Peshawar Zalmi launched a motivational short film featuring Mahira Khan and released their official anthem for the 10th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), which begins on 11 April.
To energise fans ahead of PSL 10, 2017 champions Peshawar Zalmi released a star-studded short film followed by an official anthem. The film features Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, while the anthem is performed by Mustafa Zahid and Aima Baig.
The music video includes visuals of team captain Babar Azam and top-order batter Saim Ayub shadow-practising and interacting with fans, aiming to boost excitement for the upcoming season.
Earlier this month, Zalmi had also launched a regional Pashto anthem performed by singer Raheem Shah. The video was filmed at the newly-built Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar, underlining the franchise’s ongoing efforts to bring PSL matches to their home ground.
On the same day, the franchise revealed its new jersey for PSL 10. The poster featured Babar Azam, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Haris and England’s Tom Kohler-Cadmore. The jersey was designed by skilled women from Haripur under the 'Dil Se Ba-Ikhtiar' initiative, which aims to empower women through vocational training.
The design symbolises resilience, empowerment and local craftsmanship, reinforcing the team's message of pride and inclusion.
Zalmi are set to begin their PSL 10 campaign on 12 April against traditional rivals Quetta Gladiators at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
