Despite Pakistan’s 3-0 whitewash at the hands of New Zealand in the recently concluded ODI series, captain Muhammad Rizwan has continued his upward trajectory in the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings.
Rizwan climbed two spots to 21st with a rating of 606 points, showcasing individual consistency even amid team struggles.
Meanwhile, Fakhar Zaman, who was left out of the squad for the series, slipped two places to 23rd, and Imam-ul-Haq maintained his position at 34th.
Promising left-hander Saim Ayub also dropped two spots to 38th, while vice-captain Salman Ali Agha moved up one place to 40th, reflecting a mixed bag for Pakistan’s batting contingent.
At the top of the table, India’s Shubman Gill continues to reign as the No 1 ODI batter, followed by Pakistan’s Babar Azam at No 2 and India’s Rohit Sharma rounding out the top three.
