
The annual elections of the District Bar Association (DBA) Abbottabad for 2025-26 witnessed a fierce one-on-one contest for the position of president.
Imran Younis Khan Tanoli was elected president, Malik Ashfaq became vice president, Asad Khan was elected secretary, and Muhammad Farhan was selected as additional secretary.
Meanwhile, Nayyar Khan was elected unopposed as club secretary, and Samia Advocate was elected unopposed as finance secretary.
The elections for the District Bar Abbottabad were conducted under the supervision of the Election Board Chairman, Advocate Abdul Wajid Khan, and Election Commission members Khalid Rubani, Zobia, and Neeli Naz Advocate.
In the race for the president's position, Imran Younis Khan secured 324 votes, emerging victorious, while his opponent Zafar Iqbal bagged 314 votes. For vice president, Malik Ashfaq garnered 324 votes, while Malik Waheed Akhtar received 283.
Asad Khan triumphed with 333 votes for secretary, defeating his opponents Faizan Khurshid, who secured 63 votes, and Muhammad Asjad, who received 233 votes.
